Jennifer McCormick Visits Miracles In Sight

Artist Jennifer McCormick was a recent guest at Miracles In Sight. Here’s the story…

Jennifer recently participated in the After Dark Artist Collaboration hosted by Industries for the Blind in Winston-Salem. During the collaboration, Jennifer experienced sensitivity training…she was blindfolded and guided by her IFB visually impaired partner, Brenda Neal. Through this experience Jennifer and Brenda created a beautiful piece of artwork that has found a home at Miracles In Sight.

Jennifer McCormick Visits Miracles In SightAs depicted by the photo, the piece is in the shape of a blindfold. “Vision is critical to me, and without it community became more critical”. The word “Independence” is written in Braille across the eyes which are faintly carved below the paint so they are “visible” to those without vision.

Miracles In Sight and Industries for the Blind are partners with a shared purpose… making a commitment to improve the lives of the blind and visually impaired. And, we are honored to have Jennifer’s work on display.
